This enchanting vintage 1970s Bill Gibb silk jersey evening dress in soft white is in beautiful vintage condition and as the designer notoriously only made limited numbers of the same design, this is without doubt a rare piece (the original owner believed that this was one of only two that were made). This lovely dress features delicate spaghetti straps that graduate from the centre bust at a diagonal, accentuating the shoulders to flattering effect and an exquisite Art Deco style moth design in tiny jade green and silver toned rocaille beads and pink embroidered trim. There is an empire waistline and a flowing ankle length skirt witch gathers loosely under the waistline in soft pleats with a concealed zip fastening at the centre reverse. This unique and feminine piece would make a stunning choice for alternative bridal wear and the ornate line of the bodice means there is little need to accessorise. Would best suit a US size 0-2, UK size 4-6.
