This beautiful 1970s white cotton prarie dress is in superb condition and is a classic example of the Edwardian/Victorian style famously popularised by Laura Ashley during this era. The soft cotton delicate pin-tuck detail is interspersed with embroidered cotton lace trim to define the waistband, neckline, bust and skirt tiers. Fine net lace trim decorates the cuffs and hem. The bodice features a striking V shaped lace embellishment below a high collared Victorian style neckline and is neatly tailored, tapering at the lace waistband before falling into a long floor sweeping skirt. The skirt is two-tiered with wide pin tucks on the upper tier and finer pin tucks on the lower. The same finer pin tuck design is used for the bodice and sleeves, which gather above the wrist and finish in long five inch cuffs. The dress is unlined. There is no label present and sesigned to be worn by a taller figure, would best suit US size 6-8, UK size 10-12.
