John Cavanagh Couture Gold Lame Gown
This incredible early 50s cocktail dress is made from a gold lame jacquard woven with a tropical plant design. The dress has been hand embellished with sparkling Czech glass stones that catch the light beautifully. The interior is lined in ivory gross grain silk, is boned for support and fastens at the centre back with a zip. John Cavanagh was a London based designer who created dresses for royalty and was famed for his excellent tailoring from the 1950s to the 1970s. The dress is in very good condition.
