ARCHIVE - Runway Worn Yves Saint Laurent 1994 Pink Felt Wool Trimmed Jacket

£0.00 Sold out

Runway worn Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche pink felt wool trimmed jacket from the 1994 collection. It is increasingly rare to find exact runway worn pieces and especially of such an illustrious fashion house as Yves Saint Laurent. This is a fabulously versatile wool jacket in a delicious Raspberry pink and trimmed in black textured tweed. The buttons have featured on several of the designer's pieces and are in the classic YSL style with the head of female Roman style figurehead. The piece is fully labelled with the exact collection of Autumn Winter 94/95. The runway version was worn by Tyra Banks and was accessorised with a black velvet skirt and very striking purple satin boots.

The piece is featured around 6m30s into the runway video and is worth Googling! This pieces comes from the collection of a French socialite & and even has her original notes detailing the exact Rives Gauche collection and even the model number 27. The jacket is extremely wearable & timeless. This high collar, blazer style with black piping makes this a perfect wardrobe staple. The blazer exudes quality - thick superior quality felted wool material, black satin lining and 2 beautifully tailored shallow pockets at the front.

The label is marked with a H-94-95 annotating the collection. It is in superb original condition with no faults or wear. In fact we would go so far as to say it is in extraordinary archive condition - perfect for the serious collector of Yves Saint Laurent. The label reads a French size 38. This is slightly on the smaller side of Size 10 these days so to err on the side of caution it would fit a UK 8 to 10, US 4 to 6.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Clients may wish to bring modern shapewear when trying on garments from certain eras, especially the 1950s. Vintage clothing was often worn with undergarments that shaped the waist and as such is tailored for them.

We have a huge variety of slip dresses and petticoats to complete your look; many of which are also for sale.

You may also wish to bring your favourite footwear. We often find a classic pair of nude shoes work well when trying on, or a pair in gold or silver.

Do you have a price range?

Many of our lower-priced pieces (under £150) are not available to buy online. Our prices range from £80 - £600 for separates. Dresses start at around £150 and go up to £2,500 for the very best antique pieces and designer vintage. Our bridalwear ranges from £300 - £3,000.
