YUKI
Gnyuki Torimaru was born in Miyazaki-Ken, in Japan, in 1937. He attended the London College of Fashion, graduating in 1966 and started designing under the professional name YUKI. Starting as a pattern cutter for Louis Feraud, he went on to work for Norman HARTNELL and Pierre CARDIN. His signature designs included one-size hooded or draped jersey dresses and dramatic cuts.
